Testing its solubility in water(Original releases its yellow color slowly in the water) and the certifications and analysis report shows the genuinity of the product. High-quality saffron is pure, containing only the stigma of the Crocus sativus flower. Sometimes, saffron is adulterated with other substances like safflower petals or turmeric threads to increase its bulk. Pure saffron strands are entirely red.

The color of saffron is a crucial indicator of its quality. The threads should exhibit a vibrant red color with slight orange tips. Inferior quality saffron might have a duller red color or contain artificial dyes.
